Why is life so hard?

It's probably not an effort problem. Most of us are just missing wisdom, knowing what to actually do with what we already know.

Knowledge knows a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom keeps it out of the fruit salad.

Here's the beautiful thing about Proverbs: it's basically a way back to Eden. In the garden we were made to live skillfully and dependent on God. We reached for the wrong tree. Proverbs picks up that thread and says there's a path back, a way to actually live well in God's world.

And it gets specific. Money. Friendship. Anger. Marriage. Parenting. Work. The stuff you're actually living in.

That's the summer. 12 weeks in Proverbs, learning the art and skill of the good life God wants for us.
